The United Kingdom Office of Communications (Ofcom) and Australia’s Standing Committee on Communications and the Arts have each taken a recent measure of 5G activity and radiation health concerns in their respective countries. The overall results show the population faces a 1.5 percent compliance with guidance levels suggested by the International Commission on Non-Ionizing Radiation Protection (ICNIRP), reports ZDNet.com.
Tests in the UK were based around six minute intervals of electromagnetic energy (EME) exposure to frequencies in the 800-900 Mhz bands, not exceeding a 3 GHz range.
“Current research indicates that there is no established evidence for health effects from radio waves used in mobile telecommunications. This includes the upcoming roll-out of the 5G network. The Australian Radiation Protection and Nuclear Safety Agency (ARPANSA) assessment is that 5G is safe,” ARPANSA confirmed.
While studies continue to demonstrate the safety of 5G, anti-5G forces continue to rail about the dangers of long term exposure. Dr. Julie McCredden, president of the Oceania Radiofrequency Scientific Advisory Association stated, “We are gravely concerned that this ship [of 5G] will be wrecked on the shoals of three possible destinations, called marked deterioration in the physical and mental health of our children, workforce, and alterations to fundamental planetary systems.”
“This journey is not optional, every man and woman must come on board, despite health and privacy concerns. Many families are being press-ganged by small cells in their streets, and thousands more satellites in the sky,” McCredden concluded.
Referring to actual research, Optus VP of regulatory and public affairs, Andrew Sheridan, stated, “There has been much focus on the alleged negative health impacts of 5G – thankfully respected independent experts have dispelled the myths and misinformation. There is, however, a positive side to the impact of 5G on health – by supporting new innovation and technology, 5G can improve health outcomes for the community.”
