The industry’s approach to field operations has been faced with new challenges this year, in part due to COVID-19, Inside Towers recently reported. “When you think about limits as to how many people you can put in a car together or what happens if the whole team goes down [due to sickness], how do you reroute? Operational excellence, as it stands right now, has to be tied to the field,” Brett Chester, Sitetracker’s VP of Marketing explained.
Now, more than ever before, it is crucial to connect your field teams and business operations in one system, according to Sitetracker. Many have come to realize that field service can no longer be decoupled from deployment operations. Industry leaders are making the move to integrate their asset deployment and maintenance into one system.
For Julia Dillon, Product Marketing Manager at Sitetracker and member of the ‘Women at Sitetracker’ group, an all-women panel was top of mind. Dillon will moderate a webinar with “industry-leading ladies” to further explore field operations processes (register here). The panel will address the following questions and more:
- How do you gain visibility into what goes on in the field?
- How does data quality impact the future of your business?
- What does the future of operational excellence look like in the next five years?
“It’s so critical to have visibility into everything that’s happening,” says Dillon. “Visibility leads to accurate data and the data is going to move the business forward.” All of these speakers are “super innovative,” and “all-stars in different areas.”
The panel will be both conversational and interactive with audience Q&A and each company will bring a unique perspective given their respective subject matter expertise. Tower Engineering Professionals, which started in 1997 with two tower-climbing engineers is now, according to its website, over 700 professionals strong, and has provided construction and engineering services more than 67,000 towers around the world.
