The Telecommunications Industry Foundation (TIF), a 501(c)(3) nonprofit nonstock corporation announced the empanelment of board directors and officers.
TIF, in a statement, said the members “seek to understand the issues arising from the rapid advancement and deployment of telecommunications infrastructure. They said they will “focus on uplifting people by bringing knowledge, understanding, and debate to make Information and Communications Technology (ICT) safe and sustainable.
As the world becomes more interconnected, TIF provides timely support and education to the public, lawmakers, and industry stakeholders in collaboration with the Telecommunications Industry Association (TIA) to promote safety, quality, efficiency and workforce development.”
“We are excited to be supporting the development of TIF White Papers,” said TIF Chairman Scott Vance. “Current TIF White Papers include subjects that range from Climbing facilities, Small Cell Intended Use, Quantum Computing and Cyber Security. The board is developing a platform to allow various industry stakeholders to provide feedback in order to support the sharing of knowledge and information,” he added. Continue Reading
TIF Vice Chair Michelle Kang said the board has approved the support of the Feed the Troops 2019 campaign with a goal of raising $50,000. Additional information on this initiative can be found on the TIF website.
“It is a privilege to work with a group that is so committed to the support of the industry,” said TIF Secretary/Treasurer Scott Stekr. The current board consists of: Scott Vance TIF Chair, Michelle Kang TIF Vice Chair, Stekr as Secretary/Treasurer, Dale Heath, Josh Huff, Brandon Chapman, Carlo Franceschino, Andrew Kurtzman, and Scott Kisting.
