Angie Dickison was named Executive Director of DEED’s Office of Broadband Development, appointed to the position last month by Governor Tim Walz. Her duties will include traveling across the state to boost awareness of initiatives designed to help Minnesota achieve its goal of border-to-border high-speed internet access. Dickison had been the interim broadband development manager since July 2019.
Dickison recently traveled across Minnesota visiting project groundbreakings and keeping the focus on local communities. She took part in the celebration of Telecommuter Forward! Day in August when the first group of 23 communities statewide were certified as telecommuter-friendly.
